A southern Jutland river system draining to the Wadden Sea near Tønder, close to the German border. DTU's national catch-journal grouping includes Vidå among the regulated western salmon rivers, and low-gradient marshland water here holds both sea trout and salmon. The proximity to the border means cross-border anglers from Schleswig-Holstein fish it too. Association-managed access. A sand-and-clay bed shapes this river. Atlantic salmon are managed under strict national quotas (DTU Aqua) — each river runs a limited annual kill quota and switches to catch-and-release once it is filled; check the quota before fishing.
