Within the Upper Boyne lakes system, White Lough shares in a general spring-to-autumn progression from buzzer through olives and mayfly to sedges at the catchment level, though this isn't lough-specific timing. Its own record points to small brown sedges typically producing through summer, with Green Peter and Murrough fishing well in the evening and into dusk during July and August.
