When
First light and last light. Overcast, settled pressure. Avoid the bright glassy hours.
Where
Drift the southern basin and the funnel through Friars Cut and into the lower lough.
Method
Trolled fly behind a paravane, or a long drift across the southern basin on an intermediate.
Kit
10–11 ft #8, fast intermediate, 12 lb fluoro. Tube fly with a paravane on the down line.
