A winding stretch above Rootes Hut with heavy weed growth; wild fish rise freely here through a good olive hatch.
Rules
Commoner-rights and paying-rod syndicate water, not a day ticket. Access via the south bank above Eddington Bridge, following the path south of the lake. The private drive to Eddington Mill is out of bounds to cars. Trout season from 1 May; grayling to end of December for members. No right of access during the close season. No wading, except on Freeman's Marsh (Beat 12). Daily limit 4 trout (13"/33cm, 1½oz/400g+), max 2 from any one beat except Lower Meadow; return undersized fish quickly if undamaged.

Methods
Fishing is upstream only with a dry-fly. Nymph fishing is only permitted from 1st July. Wet flies, lures or goldheads may not be used, and no hook larger than size 12.
