The Unica does something most rivers don't bother with: it disappears. Karst water out of the Planina cave system, spring-fed and limestone-clear, and it goes underground and comes back up again somewhere else entirely — geological theatre that happens to also hold wild brown trout. The hatches on a warm evening can be genuinely exceptional, which feels almost unfair given everything else the river's already got going for it. Fish it for the trout and stay for the fact that you're standing on a river that periodically isn't there.
