One of the most reliably rising stretches on the fishery, ending at the Wine Cellar Pool — a deep, wooded pool referenced in Kennet fishing lore since the mid-1800s.
Rules
Commoner-rights and paying-rod syndicate water, not a day ticket. Trout season from 1 May; grayling to end of December for members. No right of access during the close season. No wading, except on Freeman's Marsh (Beat 12). Daily limit 4 trout (13"/33cm, 1½oz/400g+), max 2 from any one beat except Lower Meadow; return undersized fish quickly if undamaged.

Methods
Fishing is upstream only with a dry-fly. Nymph fishing is only permitted from 1st July. Wet flies, lures or goldheads may not be used, and no hook larger than size 12.
